What is the policy on this...
I am working on a product/plugin that uses a third party tool. This tool has a free version, but it's limited. It also has a bulk license that would allow me to distribute it with my code without limitations, but its $500 and I can't afford that.
My plan is to release the product/plugin with the limited free version, but I'd like to ask for donations toward purchasing the bulk license so that everyone can use it free and unlimited. However, I know vbOrg has some strict policies on asking for money or donations. Where does this fit into things? BTW: Individual licenses are available for $45 and so someone could upgrade to unlimited on their own and it would require no changes to my product/plugin. But, the bulk license seems like the best way to go. I do not intend to charge anything for the product plugin, and I plan to stop collecting donations as soon as I get enough for the bulk license. |
You are allowed to put a paypal donate button in the thread about the mod you release.
