Nice idea!!!

Daniel 04-03-2006 12:22 AM

Was it deleted before? Anyway, nice idea. Too risky for me though.

Ron1n 04-03-2006 12:37 AM

Deleted before: Yes
Risky: It's not risky at all

Possible risks would include a user getting your admincp password and then using this to delete files or read files.

Now, lets look at reality. If they have your admincp password then they can destroy your forum including all users, posts, forums, etc. That is irreplaceable information (except if you have a backup). If they gain control of this script then they can delete your forum files. Forum files are easily replaced by uploading the coppies on your local hard drive.

They could also gain access to this, and insert random code, and use that code for other purposes. But like Ron1n said.... If they have access to your AdminCP, then you have more then random code to worry about. :-/

CHMOD is your best friend when your thinking about security with this hack.

Great job Ron1n. Installed.
