Gallery 2.0 image block in vbindex

i have looked for days thru the forums trying to find a way to get the random image block from gallery 2.0 to display in my vbindex (portal page) - vb version is 3.0.13 embedded

i have seen numerous methods but none seem to work

i'm not a coder so any help would be gladly accepted
