New User Edit Field

I'm trying to get a new field to appear up when I try to edit a user. (The area where you can edit the user's name, email, password, etc)

I don't want to use the custom-field manager because I want to display my own value for the field from the database.

I need to do this without an edit, I can use any plugins, just no edits. :-\
