I did find a hack for this.but it was not supported.
I would love to have hot topics displayed on the forum homepage..but with a few exceptions.

*Private forums not included.
*To have this hack included in the "whats going on box"

can anyone help? or direct me to one that is supported..

It already doesn't include private forums - it's based on the user's permissions. It only shows forums you can see.

As far as where you place it, that's up to you.
