Wanting To Code For vBUlletin

Anyone know where i could learn how to code for vb boards, would REALLY come handy for my forum since i have a little free time.

What I'm doing at the moment is going around sites I find interesting and post at a bit and offering advice on how to customise their vb and intergrate it with the rest of their site.

The thing is, if you have little time, that methods not going to help. A formal grounding in html and php would speed up the learning curve a lot but that's a lot of time up front.

Need something done?

I just want to basically know how to create hacks. I have around 2-5 hours a day.

Create hacks to fulfil a function on your forum, or create hacks so you become a better programmer?

Work out an outline of what you need and how much you can do yourself. Then pose your situation in a thread, so it's a case of 'fill in the gaps' for people to help out.

The best way to learn is to modify existing mods to make them more suitable for your needs. In that way, you start small but solve a real problem for yourself. If you truly want to program, you need to learn how to learn on your own. So much of programming requires you to be able to use logic and research tools to figure things out and make things work. I know lots of people who are masters of a language syntax, but stink as programmers because they need their hands held when it comes to figuring out what to do to solve a specific problem.
