Baby Name Generator/Due Date Calculator?

I have a new parenting site, and I would like to have a baby name generator and a due date calculator added. Does anyone know where I can get one? I have done a google search, but the only ones I see are for other parenting sites :tired:

TIA :)

It might help if you explained how the math is done and an idea of how you would like to use it. THere are some javascript due date calculators I believe that you might be able to just add in to your site somewhere.

Heh, have a custom profile field in a date format, that says 'I got knocked up on...' and have vb output that field plus 9 months = due date! :D

Thanks anyway, I have changed my mind on this.

Ok, so I have changed my mind about this. I am still VERY interested in getting this for my parenting site. I was doing some research here and it looks like someone else made a request, but it never goes further than that.

This is exactly what I am looking for:

Quote:

There are three different methods for calculating a due date.
First, the mommy to be enters the first day of last menstrual period
Next, she enters the number of days her cycle normally lasts. 28 days is standard, but if longer or shorter, the calculation start date should be adjusted + or - the number of days greater or less than 28 for the cycle. This will give you the caculated start date.

1) From caculated start date, add 280 days.
2) From caculated start date, add 40 weeks.
3) From caculated start date, count back three calendar months, then add one year and seven days.

A basic calculator would assume 28 days and use either method #1 or #2 above. A more advanced calculator would provide all three methods for calculating, allow for the adjustments based on the mom's cycle length, and provide additional details such as baby's birth stone, star sign, conception date, etc.

I would also like to get some sort of Baby Name Generator too. If it costs me, then I guess it costs me. I would just love to have these on my site, if anyone would seriously be willing to help :D

Thank you~
