Staff IN or Staff Out Wallboard/Notification Display Board
 

A section which lists all staff with a notification icon (perhaps a traffic street light as an example) which has either -

• RED light (Red) for not available for Staff duties
• GREEN light (Green) where they are available for Staff duties
• AMBER light (Yellow) automatically set when Staff logs out

Scenario -

Staff on the board wish to browse the forum in a non-staff mode, (they change there status from Green to Red via some code switch), users can check the status of staff on the wallboard, the Staff member in question has set to RED, the user knows they are not available for conversation via pm, pager or email etc (or wont respond).

This really gives Staff the opportunity to tell there users via a visual method there status to respond to official querys.. I would adapt this to be used on my OnlineWarfare forum where we have circa 9-10 staff. I would like sometimes to browse the forum and not have 7 pager + 4 PM requests hit me because the user has seen me in the WOL.

I would also like the idea to be coverted into a CMPS Module as well (if at all possible) :cool:
