Private forum titles viewable in archive?

I was looking at my archive and I was disturbed to see that private forums are viewable to anyone. I even logged out and checked. Sure enough, there they were.

Is there a way to exclude certain forums from showing up in the archive pages?

Maybe I have a setting wrong, but either way it would be nice to know how to avoid having private forums displayed in the archives. :)
