Yeah, my website is like www.whatever.com/forum, but in my cpanel i've just made '/' redirect to 'www.blahblah.com/forum' so it's easier.

How do I set it so my forum is the actual root directory?

just move your forum script to your root directory then goto the admin CP and upade all your paths

What do you mean 'Update your paths' how do I do this?

Update image paths and board paths

board path is in general settings

image paths in StyleVars

You won't need to update most paths since they are relative. The only ones you need to worry about are the paths you cahnged yourself, since you may have put the entire URL in.

The best way to find out which paths need to be updated is move the files, and then click around your site and see which images and files don't work. Those are the ones that need new paths. ;)
