Anonomous posting in one forum
 

I want to be able to allow comments to news items without having to be a registered member. I have the forum permissions setup to allow them unregistered/not logged in to post, but they still have to give a unique name.

Is there a hack or way?

Just install the anonymous post hack.

Actually, this does not fit the bill. I am looking for a way to allow non-registered members to post. This looks like it only lets exsisting users post Anon.

It's all in the permissions. If you set Unregister group to be able to post in the forums + permission to post as anonymous, you'll get the result you want. :)

Is there any way to get this hack without having to create a username, much less 1 post on a forum I don't necessarily want to belong to? Seems like a waste of a username to just be able to download the hack (esp after the dec 2005 added rules on the vbviet website).

Not trying to be rude at all, just want to get the hack and move on with my forum creation....
