Usernotes - more features
 

Currently the UserNote thats already built into vB is one of the most neglected features on this site ( no one does any hacks for it ), but its a very useful options to installing some other journal, profile comment system or blog

I generally use it instead of hack for an alternate Journal, Blog, or a comment system , why bother since its already there ? ;)

my only problem with the usernote is : ( requesting mod )

The characters ( post ) limit is taken from the forum thread posting, and that can be bad when used as a simple comment system

most sites posting character limits are around or above 10,000 ( vB default )

when used as a profile comment system we need to allow LESS characters, like around 500 characters, not space to allow someone to post an entire dictionary . :confused:

soooo, anyone knows how to limit characters in the usernote without affecting character limits in forum postings ?
a hack allowing ADMIN to SET THE CHARACTER LIMIT from the ACP would be nice.

make sure that WORD LENGHT can also be set by ADMIN, or is only 50 characters maximum
