How do you install vb??
 

Lol,I know I have my board up and running but unfortunatly someone else installed it for me,but I want to learn (bummer,hu? :D) Anyways I can get passed everything except the mySQL part.Thats why I got someone else to install it. And I am sure mostly everyone (but me unfortunatly) knows how to install it.So does anyone know how to install the mySQL part.lol.

You have to create a database and then a username and add it to the database and then that info will need to be entered into the config.php file for the installation to go ahead

Where do I make the new username?
PS:When you make this username do all the files go inside of the mySQL username.
Like when you check the file how it shows
like:
showthread.php,index.php,etc.

I dont see anything about vBulletin installation in there

VBulletin.com provides a very good manual for installation. And if you look at the files in question, you can see where you are supposed to change info. Basically, you upload all the files in the upload directory to your server's file space. Your server should allow you to enter the control panel to create a database space. A link called myphpadmin would probably be where you go to do that. If not you need to ask your host. There you make a name for your db and a password. Once done, you go back to your file storage...find the config.php file and edit it..putting in your db name and password. When you run the installer, vb automatically creates your database for you. That's it in a nutshell, but for further info go to vbulletin and follow the directions there. They are pretty straight forward.

That was my 1st resort...thats why I got someone to auto install it.Becuase to be honest I did not get it clearly...
