Running my vb forum as a full time job!
I resigned this week and gave up a 12yr career in IT to run my vbforum full time. It's a niche photography site with almost 12,000 members. It was a big decision but the site is generating good consistent revenue has 20+ advertisers and a loyal subscriber base. This is the end result of 3yrs hard work on my community. I could have never pulled this off without vbulletin so am beyond gratefull for this stellar application. I suppose some others here have made the leap too? I'd like to hear your stories! :)

Congrats sross, I wish you the best of luck with your new venture. :)
But just out of curiousity - what's the URL to your forum? |
Thanks, it's http://www.apug.org
|
Good luck with your endeavors. That's a very nice site you have. ;)

Thanks guys, I'm very lucky to have such enthusiatic forum members who believe in the sites cause and contribute to keep it going. My future plans will involve taking a more e-zine approach and professional content rather than just the usual forum discussions. First I need to upgrade the whole site to 3.5.x which will be a big job..
