VbJournal vs vb Drupal (CMS+Blogs)
Ultimately, the main question is what is the difference between the two?
Here is my quick summary after reviewing several posts for the two... can someone provide their own inputs so i can make a decision... VbJournal = PROS: blog only CONS: beta vbDrupal = PROS: Final, proven backgound, blog capability and other features CONS: additional strain on CPU for heavy sites (unless this has been fixed) |
For what it's worth we custom built a blog integrated with vb. Its in beta on a live site (www.zumper.com) and has some clinks to work out - primary the predefined "blocks" that you can put on your page. But we'd love your feedback and the more testers the better...

This two things you cant compare. Well you could. But they're playing not in the same league.
Drupal is a fullsized modular CMS. Fully hooked for expansions. Has a very clever right-management and so on. But if you only want to put some little bloggin on your forum, it's a bit oversized! Drupal is the best free CMS, I ever found. And I tryed a lot of stuff. Drupal is no Blog-Engine. There's just a little module, that gives you all you need to blog and to host blogs and so on. Check the module-lists on http://drupal.org/project/Modules and see, whats the difference. ;) Should be clear at the moment you read the list... |
