xbox live gamer tag as signature?

Is it possible to allow my members to post their xbox live gamer tags without allowing html for signatures?

Thanks.

edit.. this would be for vb 3.5.3

Just create a new BB code using the HTML that was already posted for the Postbit change and make the parameter for the BB code be the user name, that way the users could make it dynamic (eg: [xbl]MyUserName[/xbl].

Of course, though, by making it a BB code users could then post it in threads but that may or may not be a good thing based upon your individual needs.

That was a fantastic idea KW802, thank you.

I came on here today to ask how to do this, amazing that it was asked today already.

For the poster who asked this question, here is how i did it.

I went to http://mygamercard.net/ and got the code for the sig' gamercard.

I then entered this as my new BB Code.

Title: Xbox Live Gamertag

Tag: XBL

Replacement: <a href="http://profile.mygamercard.net/{param}">
<img src="http://card.mygamercard.net/sig/{param}.jpg" border=0>
</a>

Example: [XBL]YourGamertag[/XBL]

And added a button.

It looks great.

Yep looks good, I thought about doing the official Xbox one with the links built in, however that is just too dang big for my tastes, I like little sigs.

I wish the sig bar one was a bit more interactive though.

How about adding it to the postbit_legacy and using a profile field? Here's a hack I did. Its very simple, and clean to boot.

This way you don't have trillions of images everywhere. This makes it look like an IM button.

XBL GamerCard Button

Just an idea to give you more options - good luck :D!
