[Request] Avoid users editing a thread if admin/mod already has!

Is there a mod available that would stop users from being able to edit their threads if an admin/smod/mod has already edited it for any reason?

If not, is anyone willing to have a go at this?

Have a look at this hack ;)

Thanks Jelle, but that isn't quite what I am after. i want to keep a thread open, but if a staff team member (i.e. mod/smod or admin) has already edited the thread, I want to stop the thread/post owner from re-editing it.

Reason: I have had a few members who have re-edited their posts after a mod has editied the comments. They have removed the moderators comments which is not on. I can instigate action against these members sure, but it woudl also be good to stop them from editing their threads.

after your staff edits the post cant they just lock it with that hack? so that they cant edit it? it should be what your looking for. or do you want it to do it automatically once its edited? mods shouldnt be that lazy , just MO

... but - I dont want to lock the thread... I want it to remain open!! I have no reason to lock the thread... it's not the thread that is the issue, it is the person who re-edits a thread to remove the moderators comments within it that is the issue.

I want the person who's post it is in the thread not to be able to edit it after a moderator has already edited it.

Erwin or Xenon (see their profiles) had a hack that add Moderation levels if i remember correct. If someone of level X (for example Admin) modified a post, alll lower levels can not edit anymore (mod/member).

That hack doesn't close a thread ;)
It gives you the possibility to lock a post. So people can still reply to the thread, but the post can't be edited by the member who posted it (so he can't remove a moderator comment or something like that). He can still reply to the thread.
