The scheme is hard on the eyes - the category gradient bars are way too bright for the dark style.

Yep the red is REALLY bright and needs to be toned down.

i did a poll for the users, everyone voted the colors to say and said that it was the best color scheme ever.. *sigh

so they will stay =p
