Banner Ad on Forum Home page only?

Hi,
I am new user of vB having just converted from SMF. I apologise if this is a recurring question but i couldn't seem to find what i was looking for from the search function.

On my SMF forum, i had a banner ad for Amazon (i'm an associate) that only appeared on the main board index, between the board header and board index.

Is there anything available as a mod for vB that will let me do the same? And how easy are they for a novice to use?
