Limit [url] and [img] tags based on usergroup
 
is there a way to only allow certain usergroup the ability to post links and images?

seems a much requested option, and I'd like to implement this aswell..

anyone know how?

Well, there are two options. You could this hack which disallows posting links and images for members with fewer than 15 posts. Or, you could use Advanced BBCode Permissions which allows you to restrict any and all BBCode usage based on usergroups.
