Where to go for custom programming for vbulletin?

I have about 40 hours of work that needs to be done on some existing scripts, and on a custom system I need built for my site. Everything I need done needs to work around vbulletin so I need someone who is familar with vbulletin.

Everyone I have ever approached on any vbulletin related website is always too busy to take on new work. I use elance regularly but i would much rather hire someone with vbulletin experience.

So the big question is, where do I turn to find a reliable programmer who can get to work fast on some things for my site? I am willin to pay well, but I need someone who is dependable, available, and has vb experience. It has been literally IMPOSSIBLE to find someone who meets those requirements.

Thanks!

check the SERVICE REQUEST FORUM

The more details that you offer the better chances you will have at finding the "right" person.

Do a check on those who contact you prior to sending a deposit.
Read the STICKIES found in that forum for further suggestions.

Thanks but i've tried that and you get no response. Maybe I will give it a go again.

In your request make clear what work need to be done (if it is a lot of work, maybe split in smaller projects), and what the prize range is.

This helps a lot in getting responses.

I have to bump this one again. It would sure be great if there was a site where one could go and find people who are:

A) Familar with VB
B) Want to make money

Right now you can't find people on Elance, or here on VB.org. We are about to bring a full time programmer in house just so they can learn VB and start working on all the things we need to add to our site.

I know many share my frustrations. I've received countless private messages from people who say they too never get responses here on vb.org for service requests.

There has to be a better way...........
