News ticker / java script
 
Anyone thought of designing a new ticker for 3.5.3? A scrolling right to would be best from a live feed for for the more advanced, perhaps a java script that pops up when a news headline is to be shown? This could be placed on the top or bottom of the page.

I had a scrolling ticker for the last year or so and just switched to this one on my front page instead:

www.cockytalk.com

just made one, it downloads the rss feed localy (after the page has loaded (ajax style) and only once per day... )

Works in java, can change font, font color, size, background, speed, RSS feed url ...

Also on clicking the link, it directs you to a page on your forum to display the desriptions of each title
