Help on a couple of things...

Hello out there,

I am the owner of a couple of forums and have run across a some problems with the latest version of Vbulletin 3.5.3.

1. I am not able to add new smilies. After uploading new smilies onto the FTP, I use my Admin controls to add new ones to the forum and get the following message: "Invalid File Path Specified". The forum recognizes the default smilies, but not new ones. I have this same problem when adding new avatars.

What's confusing is that one of my other forums (version 3.5.1) I had no problems adding new smilies or avatars.

2. I recently tried to add the hack Vpager to my new forum (3.5.3) and can't seem to get it to work. All the files are on the ftp and in their correct place, but nothing is showing up in my admin controls to allow user group permissions. Once again, I was able to instal this hack successfully on my 3.5.1 forum

One thing I noticed though is that on the forum where everything works, I must go through a public-html folder to get to my forum folder. On my new forum, the ftp just has a forum folder. Maybe this is the problem??

Any help with these questions would be a great help. I've always had great success with Vbulletin in the past, I hope somebody can help.

You might want to post in the correct forum.

As for the smilies problem that might be best asked at vbulletin.com

Are you making sure the smilies permissions are set correctly after you upload them? Are you POSITIVE you have the correct path?

Actually, I would make sure the files you uploaded for vpager have the correct permissions as well..

:clicks install: lol

Please make it so this hack will work with vBadvanced CMPS. Maybe then I would click install.

That will teach you not to play silly games, but just report a wrong post, and don't play with it.

You can not change them using a FTP-client?
