Yes, I know this has been discussed MANY times before.

But...

All of the solutions so far require that a visitor have a session or cookie from the board for tem to work.

None of them work for first time visitors to the site.

I have tried over the past few weeks with the other hacks to try and get something to work. But no luck so far. Anyone else?

Every visitor to the board gets a session whether it is their first visit or their millionth.

So then why do the examples posted here in the vBulletin hacks forum on how to create the online users page not work for users that have never visited the my site?

If you visit my forum and THEN visit the outside page with the online user information it works. But if it is your first time visiting the site then the hacks that have been posted here in the vBulletin hacks forum do not work.

The other hacks I have that show messages from the forum work fine, but the online users ones never work. And this problem is not only on my site, but also on the sites of the people that created the hacks.

Is your site embedded in vBulletin? If not you will need to log them in to vBulletin before allowing access to your site.

There can't be a simple hack for this because every site is different. All I can suggest is look at global.php and index.php and you can find out how to integrate vBulletin member details into your own PHP driven site.

Wayne,

Thanks for the suggestions! I just thought that since I could pull the message information onto my front page without the visitirs first visiting the forum that I could also do it with the useronline info. But I guess not. :(

I'll look through the files and see what I can come up with.

Anyone working on this hack?

This is really hard to do. To make the locations of where they are.

Anyone have any luck on this so far? I havent. :(

I can pull up all kind of messages, topics, ect... but no current online users without having the (unregistered) user visit the forum first.
