show last X new users to specific usergroup

so I want to publicly display the last 5 members from a specific usergroup

has this been done where I can choose that group and display multiple groups

ex on my homepage I'd like to be able to show last 5 "blue" (paying) members and last 5 "brown" (banned) members and last 5 members to register
