Board Just Newly Published. What do I do?

I just finished my board a few days ago. How do I get people to go to it without, well, telling them. What I am trying to say is, I dont want to spam. I just don't know where to go from here. I mean, yes, submitting to a search engine may help, but when its the beginning of a board and no one knows about it, its kind of hard.

I forgot where it is in the control panel but I would change the locked looking icons. At first glance people may think they can read any of the sections.

Thanks for the input, what should I change them to? (Remember, they only appear locked when a guest is visiting. But when some one is a member, they look normal).

you could also submit your site to the topsite listing if you do a search alot of them would pop up..

I understand but someone else might not.

Control Panel --> vBulletin Options --> Forum Listings Display Options --> Show Lock Icons to Users
Change it to No.
Just my opinion.

Thanks for the info on that. The icons now look normal to all users. Something I was thinking of. When new users go and register at a forum that has 0 posts everywhere because it has just started, well, how do they actually go and register? Doesnt it turn them away from registering if there are no posts? If so than how can new forum creators start their forum?
