Closed Forum

Hi
I have some forums that has it's on subforums. In the admincp I select the forum is not open which means you can't post anything there, but still displays the sub forum.

My question is. When a forum is closed how can set the forum display so it won't show this?

You can set in your vBulletin Options if closed forums should show or not.

I'm interested in doing the same thing. Any suggestions?

Is there a conditional we can do in the template?

when editing forum..
make sure ACT AS FORUM is set to NO
and
FORUM IS OPEN is set to NO

I didn't want to just do that because it changed the way that forum looked on FORUMHOME.

But THEN all I did was copy the same information for forumhome_forumbit_level2_post to
forumhome_forumbit_level2_nopost and it worked perfectly. Thanks!

yes they mean, the want the "forum" to act as a portal for the "subforums" for example

Forum= US States
Subforum= new york, washington, texas.

They dont want the "Forum doesnt have posts to show" just like the forum acting as a category but displaying as a normal forum!
