dedicated servers, I mean!

I've always been on shared hosting and I just made the big switch to dedicated which is a whole new world :ninja: Thank God for Plesk or I'd be TOTALLY lost!!!!

Are you on shared or dedicated?

i'm hosting my sites on my own computer, in my own house...
i have a server though, not an usual situation.. ;) my clients/users are visiting these Local Sites... i even have LAN sites... yes yes, we can do that too... websites that are accessed only by clients from the same ISP... Videotron from Qu?bec offer that gadget...

so i have some friends hosted on shared hostings, mostly at hostgator... the others are convinced i'm the best to host sites i build myself.. ;)

Main site is on it's own dedicated server.

Test site is on a VPS.

When I only had one site I was on a shared server but when I started having multiple sites, especially a business site, I switched to a dedicated. Night & day difference. Makes life so much easier. :D

Obviously it's be nicer to be on dedicated but I can't afford it. Also I don't really need any kind of uber shell access or anything too fancy like that.

My site's running on my home network, much easier to manage and developing hacks/addons. :)

I've got both shared hosting accounts and dedicated servers. :)

Never really liked hosting it at home. It's just too expensive to get redundant OC-level connections to my house. ;)
