Default color change for vbshout

I have looked for this and didn't find anything - but I do apologize if it has been asked and I just couldn't find it...

Anyway, I was wondering if there would be a way for my members to change the default color/font on the vbshout (this hack: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=93097) so it actually keeps the change. The way it is now isthe color will stay as long as you don't refresh or move around on the boards. Is there a way to make it so the members can choose a color and font and make that thier default color until they want to change it?

I noticed something crazy with this issue...when using the Christmas style I have installed, the settings I set in the Shoutbox stayed put for my log-in session...but only for that style, and I can't duplicate it on any other style. Weird, huh?
