Upgrading vB 3.5.1 to 3.5.3
Hi guys,
I want to upgrade the board to the newest version of vB but im worried that ill lose all the changes that ive made to the site ? What exactly will change when I switch up ? will i have to redo all the mods and hack and reupload the plugins and products or just redo the template changes ? is it best to just upload the patches ? overgrow.com is one of the biggest grow sites and i beleive there running some old school vB which has been patched up over the years ? Thanks for your help guys https//www.freecananbis.com AMK |

http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1046368 I keep detailed instructions of what mods, hacks and products I have. I note which scripts and templates need to be edited. I keep local copies and urls where I found the mods. I backup my scripts. Close the forum. Backup the database. I normally overwrite the patched files immediately and when I have time upgrade. That is normally within a few days. When I am ready to upgrade. Check to see that I have all of the latest versions of my mods. My upgrade process is to edit all of my scripts, then upload them at once rather than reinstall each one. I revert the templates necessary and edit them. With products that require no file edits, it is painless. |
I've just upgrade my forum from 3.5.0 to 3.5.3 and now I can't seem to log out. Any ideas why? Thanks :)
