Server Reset Countdown on Forumhome

Good evening,

imagine the following situation:

You just want to reset / restart your Server or shutdown it for maintenance purposes. Yor users are very exceptional active at this point and some members just write their life biographies atm in your forums. Yeah, you made the accouncements that there will be server work tonight and the info mail hast just been sent out. But some of your users just forgot about it. And are writing, writing, writing. So it would be nice to have a countdown directly on the forumhome so that they can see when they should have finished their threads and postings. Like in World in Warcraft.

So, is there some hack around? if not, it is useful to develop it?

I have some ideas about it. And i really need it for my forums. So, i´m going to code it and share it with you.

That would be a very cool hack, and certainly could use it for my guild website. In fact it could be used for any kind of forum/website. so you have my support for this if you decide to code it.
