If there is already something like this my appologies as I did not find it so if you can point me int he right direction thank you.

Otherwise what I would like to do is change the login name to that of the users email address and use their login ID as a PDN (Publicly Displayed Name)

Of course if the PDN is already in use it the user should be notified and be given a chance to use another. Or maybe even make a suggestion like (i.e. Sorry the name Octavious is already in use. How ever you can use the following incarnations of this name such as Octavious2006, Octavious01)
