Pack O' Poppies
 

Hello id like some CC on my parenting board. Here is the linkPack o' Poppies . We are less then a week old but i think we are doing pretty good. The board is open for you to look around you will be able to see forums and the topics in forums but you wont be able to see the replies. I really dont think you need to see what where saying though.kwim? :ermm: Thanks for all your suggestions!

The style needs work. If you're going to have images under a forum name, its best to have one for every forum. It looks odd that introductions is the only one with a forum image.

And some of the default images left need to go too, they don't match with your scheme.

Hmmm....

The logo needs to be redone to match the flow of the site. The white background on it makes it unprofessional. If it were centered it would be nicer, too. Some of the default images need replaced as Tony said. Sorry I didn't take a better look - I just got back from a hunting trip and was mighty tired :D.

Thanks for your opinions im working on some images but im not a great image maker so i want to make the ones we have look good. kwim? Ya i agree with the banner but i other admin has to fix it since its her image. Thanks again for you help keep your advice coming!

YIKES! The colors are burning my eyes!

It's a great start but it needs some fine-tuning.

- I'm not sure what pack o' poppies is about? poppy seeds?
- The logo is of poor quality. Remove the white space; change the font; is that a flower?
- Remove the large WELCOME MAT. It's not necessary. You are taking up valuable space ... if you remove it your visitors wouldn't have to scroll (vertically) so much to get to the content.
- the colors ... well ... not a great combination; if choosen correctly you can set a mood - what mood do you want to set? It could be inviting; it could repel; it could anger; it could be calming; it could be exciting; etc, etc

Wow my members actually loved the color thought it as calm and reminded them of sitting on the beach(which a mommies we all need lol) We are a spinoff of another board and we were always called pack of poppies. Thanks for your suggestions!
