Really Fast Stupid Question
Im new to this hacking and im trying to get vBShout. Well heres my questions. It says
Step 1: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Upload 'vbshout.php' to your 'FORUMS ROOT DIRECTORY' (ie: forums/ or forum/) Where do i get 'FORUM ROOT DIRECTORY' I cant seem to find it anywhere! Thanks for you help |
No offense but if I was you I wouldn't attempt that install yet until you learn the basics..........
You need to ftp vb.shout to the base directory on your server where your forums are installed too. |
Thanks but ill never learn unless i try. I got nothing you were saying so il have to just wait until my other admin gets back. Thanks though
your root directory is typically public_html/. So if you are using FTP, see if you have a public_html directory, and that should be your forum root.
Thanks Mark! I get it now lol
basically what RichieBoy67 is saying is do you have access to the server where your vbulletin is installed? you need this access in order to FTP vbshout.php
