Minimum Posts to add Links/Pics
 

Hi, I was wondering if anybody has made, or might make a plugin/hack to prevent spam. Basically you would set a number of posts a user has to write before he/she is allowed to post links and pictures. Sounds simple to me, but I really do NOT know PHP...

This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for too! Right now, it's a rule at my forum that they must have 25 posts and/or be a member for at least a month before posting a link anywhere, but it would be so much easier if the board simply wouldn't let them do it, then we wouldn't have to police it and delete posts since no one seems to be able to read the rules (or they ignore them).

There is a hack around here somewhere that prevents certain usergroups from posting links and you can turn off attachments for that usergroup... just use that and the promotions system to take them out of this group once they hit x # of posts.

Any idea what it's called? I've been searching the forums for something like this for awhile and can't find anything.

Thanks! I also just found this. I swear, I've been searching here for days and couldn't find anything (though I've found a lot of other really awesome things in my hunt!), now there are two here at once.
