Introduction plugin
 

Hi,

A great plugin would be when new users sign up, it shows only the introduction section with a message saying that they have to introduce first before they can see other forums. Once they have created their introduction topic, the rest of the forums become visible instantly.

Is that achievable?

Well I see two ways you can do this:
a){Closest thing to what you want} Set up a forum for Introductions. Adjust permisions for the default usergroup to where they can see that forum and that forum only. Then set up a promotion for that user group to another user group after 1 post.

b)You could alternativley set up Amy Kahr's Introduction Thread hack, THEN follow the steps above.
