Does anyone know what the Latest Forum Posts hack is on http://www.boards.ie ?

On my last board I used cgi scripts using DBI to achieve something similar, one for each forum, and then used SSI to call each script. I've not looked at a PHP equivalent as I am not really up to speed with PHP coding yet.
