Disable Active Links for 3.5.x?

I have looked and have not found one for this version,i had one for a earlier vb version. Sooner it could be made the better, here is the hack for vb 3.0.x.Would this work on 3.5.2?I doubt it but one can only hope. If there is something like this already for 3.5.x then please show me the way as i looked everywhere and even ran searches.
