tren_z style needs fixing!
 

here's the deal. I have a tren_z style that I purchased from extremepixels about a year ago. At that time I was using 3.0.3. I have now recently upgraded to 3.5.2 and now the skin is acting up.

Appearantly extremepixels offers free upgrades for one year but my year ended about 2 months ago :disappointed: I tried emailing the owner and asking what my options were and he told me that I would have to purchase the skin all over again.. I asked if I could just pay like an upgrade fee and he didn't go for it.. Im pretty perturbed by the service. I don't feel that I should have to pay for something that I paid for once already :ermm:

I would like to know if someone would be willing to take a look at the skin and update it for me so that it will work properly with 3.5.2. Like I said it works now but it acts up in certain sections so Im sure it just needs some minor tweaking..

I have the zip file sitting on my server so please PM me and I will send you the link right away!

Well.. really, you paid for a version of a style. You got it, if you want the one that works with the new version you'd need to pay.

Do you relize how much work goes into a style? 30 bucks is a tiny ammount of money for what you get.

a tiny amount for whom? the customer or the merchant? all the money I have made extremepixels by relaying his site when people ask me where I got my skin on my forum, the least he could do is offer all previous customers some kinda special upgrade fee..

either way I don't mind paying for something but not when I already dumped $30 on it once already. I could see if I was paying for a new version with like different upgrades or something but to get JUST THE SAME THING :ermm:

it may seem like the "same thing" to you..but for an image-dependent style such as eXtremePixels.com's styles, its quite a lot of work updating templates for each new version of vbulletin that comes out..its not an easy task that can be done in two minutes..I have two phpBB styles i purchased from them back when I ran phpBB, but after switching to vB, i just purchased the vB versions without hesitation..they're very good at what they do..so $30 is quite a good price for such nice skins.

Not true, I did many a vB2> vB 3.0 ports for a few differnt companies who shall go unnammed, even a direct port from vB2 to vB3 was almost a total rewrite, its almost the same with complicated styles with going from vB3 to 3.5 due to the lots of extra javascript.

You paid for a 3.0 version, and thats what you got :)
