User Title Advanced
If this already exists I'm sorry. I couldn't find it.
Ok let me see if I can explain this. I would like to give my users two "paths" to take for user titles. When a user registers I would like them to have to make one of two choices. Depending on their choice will dictate which user title path they will take. The only thing is that I already have about 20 members so a way to have them start on a path at their current post count would also be cool. If I can explain any better please let me know:) |
You could make joinable public usergroups and let them choose a path from there.

Yep just got to add them to the correct usergroups according to post count in the acp.

Ok I can see how the usergroup would work but how do I have them follow a different user title path. When creating the joinable group ot will allow me to assign them a title but not a path. In user titles I don't see a way to create another path.
Thanks for the help:) |
Add a new title and you have to select a specific group to assign it too which would be the other path.

But will that title change as they progress in post counts?
So far at vbulletin.com I am being told that there can only be one progression of user titles. |
Yep if you keep adding them for each post count you want them to change on.
Like we have here is an example registering / \ group1-title1(0 posts) group2-title1(0 posts) | \ group1-title2(10 posts) group2-title2(10 posts) etc etc |
I see what your saying, so instead of it working like the default user group title system with the title being updated automatically as their post count increases I would have to manually watch thier post counts and add them myself?
|
No, goto add a user title now. oh, wait I was thinking about ranks. Well you can make titles with ranks instead and just remove all normal user titles.
