vb.org Archive - Another Newbie Question

Hello all, I have another question, this one is more involved though, I am currently running my main site with Mambo, and using VB for my forum. I had someone (wh-solution) help me install a bridge to bridge my login from the main site with my VB forum. From what I understand this also bridges my db.
I am currently running VB 3.0.8 and I want to take adv of my free upgrade to go to the newest version of VB. My questions are the following...

1. Is anyone else using Mambo and VB to run their site? If so are you using the bridge?

2. If yes to the above, if I upgrade to the newest version of VB (3.5.2) will that affect the current bridge? Will I need another bridge? Or will that bridge work fine?
