vb.org Archive - usergroups... subsections?

Hey guyz, is it possible to have user group subsections. so for example, have a usergroup "committee" with 11 members, I then what 5 sub usergroups, so 'NSW Cruise Committee', 'QLD Cruise Committee', 'Publicity' and so on.

as I end result I would like it so I could apply settings to the 'Committee' group, so it they would affect everyone in the committee, but then so I could apply settings to the individual committee groups without affect everyone else.

If a subgroup concept isn't possible, can I do this another way?
