Lite forum

This might sound like a strange request (and I don't even know if it's allowed by Jelsoft), anyway.

Is there a mod that would let me show one of the forums on the site that I'm hosting. The site is located in a subdomain to my site, and all I want is a really lite edition of the main forum. Just post, reply and stuff like that. No fancy pancy things.

It would be located in sub.main.com/forum/ and would be a mirror of a forumID or categoryID from www.main.com/forum/ All posts would show up on the main forum and visa versa ofcourse.

Is this even possible?

You can change the style and strip down the controls in that style.

But can you mirror the forum on another page all together, non-vb?

You can setup a direct link to the forum, but it will still show the links to the main forum in the navigation.

It would be against the license to make it look like a stand-alone board. You would need a second license for that.

I know it's illegal when you run two installation, but the above is one installation on the same site. All it would do is allow the user to send and recive info from the same database.

One easy way I could do this was to make an iframe on the target subdomain's "forum" file and create a skin that would remove everything that I wouldn't want the user to do. that way it would be on another site, but still be the same site with the same licence.

Like i said, if it is made to look like a standalone board, you will need 2 licenses. Doesn't matter if it is the same installation/database. But you would be better of checking this idea at vb.com to get an official answer.
