Latest Thread from Specified Forum?
 
Would it be possible for the following modification to be created?

I would like for the latest posted thread from a specified forum to be displayed, nothing too demanding but allows for easier access to some of our more essential forums such as Announcements. Information regarding people's opinions of this addition and its "do-ability" are welcome :)

Where would you like the thread displayed? Do you mean just a link to the thread, or the whole thread?

I would ideally like the thead to be displayed on the forumhome template only. Sorry, something which would resemble this example:

With of course each variable replaced with their corresponding values, ideally the $threadtitle area would actually link to that thread too. So to answer your question, just a link to the thread; no displaying of its contents etc ...
