trying to add another navbar
 
I'm still very new to all this, and find i need help

i'm trying to add another navbar above the quick reply box, i cut and pasted the code from my nav bar template and copied it successfully into the showthread template and eveything worked.

i noticed though that there were 2 search and quick links drop down arrows, and assumed this was down to the navbar i had just installed, i decided that i didnt need them in the lower navbar so tried taking them out, and this is where my trouble starts, i want to keep the new post link but want rid o the search and quick links and when i try to remove them i get this error

and i remove the code in green, i believe this is where the new posts script ends but when i remove it i get that error mentioned any help or suggestions??

Ok I don't get it.. Mine did it too and I don't see where the missing /if statements are at

OMG now the menus don't only have the two arrows but the menu is showing up below my welcome box.. arrgg.. Help I'm soo confused.. :)
