Full WYSIWYG content blank

I am having some trouble figuring this out.

When I submit a comment on a system I am developing, it will submit fine on the non wysiwyg editor, but when I click the switch button in the corner and try typing and submitting something, the message variable is blank and I get a "Message is empty" error.

Anyone knows what's wrong?
