new posts/threads

I am looking for a mod to display both new unread post/thread count.

basically,
X amount of NEW post
X amount of NEW unread threads.
X amount of READ thread but UPDATED with new post

possible to do this all with 1 query? ;)
is this possible with vb 3.5 unread marking system?

oops, wrong forum.. can someone move this to the 3.5 requests.
