vbulletin Total Statisticsed / 1st stage
hello every one,
here I begin my first Huge hack Discussion to collect the most needed features & most important & if there is any one give advice or code help I'll be very happy so all off you ( advicers / code helpers / feature posters / bug fixers ... ) are very welcome . Note : This will be For 3.5+ only This hack is set to be a statistics hack mack Miscellaneous calculations from the forum database about every thing ( threads / posts / attachements / users / thread views / attachements views / categories numbers / active categories number / searches done number / smilies number / post icons number / usergroups number / no. of users per each user group / styles number / ... etc ) you can open your mind & think about any features that you can imagine & post it there . this will be the first stage of my hack, after it completed & be in a good situation I'll transfer to the second stage which will include a more deeply statistics ( Server & Database Related ) like ( database type / database version / database size / php version / time of the server / Server IP ...stc ) after that I'll trasfer to a third stage which will include more & more coplicated statistics depends on external calculations & tracking which will obtain features like ( no. of visitors / visitors browsers / visitors IPs / visitors countries / visitors Resolution / visitors screen depth / visitors per X time / user system chek (browser/screen depth/IP/Resolution/country/hardware components ... etc ) ...etc ) Now I'll work only on the first stage as I said so I hope U post your opinions & suggestions . Honestly, I personally don't see any practical use in this hack. Don't ever look at those numbers anyway.

I see a very good use for it. People want to see numbers. I wish I could find a simple statistic add-on similar to my old phpBB one I used to use but for vB this time: http://www.karateforums.com/statistics.php

I'm really wondering why the feedback is so scarse.
Detailed Stats per Subforum are a good instrument for success control and allows for an efficient micromanagement of your forums in order to better fit the users' preferences and needs. Cheers, ze |

I think most people here just want to see the result as opposed to taking part in any in-depth discussion. Believe me though, if they're anything like me, they're really looking forward to this hack in it's entirety and appreciate you doing this. :)
