Was wondering, i know how to make forums. but on this site, there is like categories there.

I would like it to be something like

Members (Category)

Forum 1
Forum 2
Forum 3

Category 2

Forum 1
Forum 2
Forum 3

Take your time. Do it right ;)

The biggest mistake new users make is they add HEAPS of forums on an empty site. I started off with < 10 forums in total, and to this day I only have 1 forum for major discussion.

well its a new site, but i already have a site and a member base, but i cant find how to make the categories and then the forums and subs in them, so it relates to the site that i have already.

Ooh.

Well there are a few different options, basically to create a category you create a forum but turn "Act as a Forum" to off, which will turn it into a category.

no i mean the one that says forum - last post -threads - posts above the forums

doesnt matter, it was the style that wasnt showing it
