Move orphan threads to forum.
By request. This modification will alter the way the 'Remove Orphan Threads' process in the update counters section of the admincp works.
Instead of deleting the threads it will place them in a forumid of your choosing. Note that it will no longer mass delete these threads, although you can do a mass delete via the forum they end up in if you want. Please read the instructions before asking for help, you'll have to modify the code some to work with your own installation. Only tested on localhost by setting a thread's forumid to 0 via phpmyadmin, use at your own risk |
thumbsup! :)

What actually are orphan forums? I guess I've never run into this before.

PS This is about orphaned threads, not forums i think. ;) There are reasons that threads are not removed sometimes when the forum they belong to is removed. This cleans it up. |
same hack with moving unanswered threads would be great (ok, i again think for myself!)

Thanks!

is it possible to force a thread to orphan in order to test this?
|
I configured mine so that it ATUOMATICALLY moves the threads if they are in forumid X and have X number of replies. Thanks for the great hack! :) :) :)
